Picked up a nice BC-721 walkie talkie, and have it receiving nicely on 3885 Khz. This is a slightly modified BC-611 used in gliders. The circuit and case are identical EXCEPT, It has a sliding plate on the side, covering an antenna jack for external antenna, and a special bottom cover with multipin jack for external power, and, I think, mic and phones.

Complete with batteries, antenna, transmitter, receiver - and handset in one case. The BC-611 is a handheld radio commonly known as the first "Handi Talkie" Two D cells are wired in parallel and held together with a spacer made of a piece of standard PVC coupling and mailing tape.
